Bering has been developing airbag vests since 2011.

The Bering E-PROTECT AIR® is SRA certified and labelled. This airbag vest offers long autonomy, not with a battery to recharge, which can be restrictive, but with batteries to offer an autonomy of 500H. Even more protective, the E-PROTECT AIR® airbag vest covers a greater perimeter of vital areas to be protected than most other airbags, notably with protection for the coccyx and abdomen, and features an ultra-fast 0.05s triggering time. Easy to activate, it offers even greater comfort with its breathable 3D Mesh and stretch, abrasion- and tear-resistant fabric. Accompanied by premium features such as the E-Calling service, a long-term guarantee and a dedicated mobile app, this airbag vest is suitable for everyone thanks to its wide range of sizes (XS to 4XL), and it has two membership offers available depending on the intended use.

This allows our E-PROTECT AIR® airbag vest to be compatible with all jackets, so there's no need to change your equipment. It also helps to cover a wider area of the vital zones to be protected. So you benefit from fewer constraints while being all the more protected.

This subscription system allows you to have the Connected Airbag Service, as well as additional services such as the warranty, included for the duration of the subscription. We have chosen to offer two types of package to make our autonomous airbag technology accessible to everyone.

The E-PROTECT AIR® airbag vest is available in several sizes. It is essential to choose the right size to guarantee an optimum level of protection. To choose the airbag size that's right for you, we recommend that you try the vest on, preferably wearing it over your motorbike clothing, and don't hesitate to ask your dealer for advice.

Bering has chosen to equip its E-PROTECT AIR® autonomous airbags in such a way as not to require the user to charge a battery. This is why the E-PROTECT AIR® airbag operates on two batteries (one 3.6V and one 9V, non-rechargeable), providing up to 500 hours of autonomy (depending on use). The life of the 3.6V battery is approximately 500 hours, and the life of the 9V battery is in excess of 1000 hours.

The 9V battery can be purchased in shops, and the 3.6V battery in specialist stores. To change the battery, a dedicated tutorial :how to change batteries tutorial

The E-PROTECT AIR® airbag has a lifespan of 5 years, and the battery itself has a lifespan of 500 hours, which corresponds to driving about 1? hours a day or about 10 hours a week over the course of a year.

The airbag deploys in two phases. The detection time differs from one accident to another and from one vehicle to another, so it may vary depending on the conditions. The inflation time is fixed at less than 0.05s.

The E-PROTECT AIR® vest can be used on scooters and all other motorised 2 or 3-wheeled vehicles, except electric scooters and other "urban mobility" type vehicles. However, the detection time may vary from that on a motorbike, as it differs for each vehicle.

The E-PROTECT AIR® airbag can only be used on the road and in compliance with the law.

The system will need to be updated when the airbag is configured. Other updates may be requested as you use the system to ensure optimum use of the E-PROTECT AIR® airbag vest.

It is not necessary for the E-PROTECT AIR® airbag vest to be connected to the application during a journey for it to activate. However, services such as E-Calling only work if the jacket is paired with the application and the latter is activated. For the airbag service to remain functional, the airbag must be connected to the app with an internet connection at least once a month.

E-PROTECT AIR® technology is not based on GPS position displacement to protect against all types of accident as soon as the airbag vest is activated, even when stationary. However, your phone's geolocation data will be used in the event of an accident to alert emergency services.

The lifetime of the E-PROTECT AIR® airbag is 5 years under "normal" use.

The E-PROTECT AIR® airbag is only available in black, but it does have reflective strips on the upper back and chest.

The legal warranty is 2 years for the E-PROTECT AIR® connected airbag service. Conditions: normal use and storage of the airbag, as described in the user manual. The legal warranty does not cover triggering. InFINITY offer: The warranty can be extended once, for 1 or 2 years. To take advantage of the extended warranty, visit https://store.bering.en
It is possible to subscribe to the extended warranty up to the day before the 2-year anniversary date of the offer. ReFLEX offer: As long as the subscription is active, the premium warranty is included. This premium warranty includes the cost of removal/re-shipment, replacement of defective parts or repairs beyond the 2-year legal warranty.

The E-PROTECT AIR® vest weighs approximately 2kg. This weight may vary according to the size of the vest.

The E-PROTECT AIR® airbag can be stored in the motorbike's luggage, if the size allows, making sure that the airbag is not activated. However, the vest cannot be folded in on itself. The instructions detail the storage conditions to be observed.

The outside of the fabric is water-repellent, so you can use the airbag vest in the rain by wearing it over your rain gear. Make sure that the casing near the back is not in contact with water.

It is best to leave it to dry in a dry, ventilated place. Do not tumble dry or dry with the aid of an electronic appliance (see instructions for more information).

You can buy and change the batteries yourself. For the gas generator, you need to go through the after-sales service, as the cartridges cannot be installed by private individuals. All parts of the E-PROTECT AIR® airbag must be changed by the after-sales service.

No, you can change motorcycles without changing the airbag settings.

We advise you to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) motorbike clothing under your airbag vest for maximum protection. We have chosen to use a material that meets the abrasion resistance standards set out in standard EN17092 for class C PPE.

The E-PROTECT AIR® airbag protects the spine, cervical vertebrae, thorax, abdomen and coccyx.

The E-PROTECT AIR® airbag has been certified in accordance with EU regulation 2016/425 in compliance with the Aliénor protocol. It has 4-star SRA certification. The E-PROTECT AIR® airbag vest has been certified to standard EN17092-6-2020.

The E-PROTECT AIR® airbag deploys automatically when it detects an accident situation.

To activate the system, put on the E-PROTECT AIR® vest, zip it up to the top, fold the activation tab to the left and lock the pressure on the activation tab. An audible signal will warn you when the vest has been properly activated, and you can check on the application that the connection has been established.

The E-PROTECT AIR® airbag vest includes a level 1 back protector, but it is perfectly possible to also have a back protector in the motorbike jacket. WARNING: Never remove the back protector from the E-PROTECT AIR® airbag vest.

The E-PROTECT AIR® airbag vest is not suitable for everyone: people wearing pacemakers or other electro-medical equipment should not use the E-PROTECT AIR® airbag vest as the risks of interference or parasites have not been assessed. The presence of piercings on the areas of the body covered by the E-PROTECT AIR® airbag vest is not compatible with the wearing of the vest, nor is the presence of breast prostheses, as the risk of degradation of these prostheses during deployment has not been assessed. E-PROTECT AIR® must not be worn by pregnant people.

If the E-PROTECT AIR® airbag detects an accident situation, it is triggered when the motorcycle is stationary or moving.

It is not possible to wear a rucksack, as its presence can drastically reduce the inflation speed of the E-PROTECT AIR® airbag and its effectiveness.

It is possible to travel with the airbag subject to acceptance by the airline concerned. During transport, the E-PROTECT AIR® airbag must be deactivated, i.e. the activation tab must be clipped in the "off" position, and the batteries must be removed from the case. TROPHY S.A.S cannot be held responsible for any problems arising during air transport.

No, the E-PROTECT AIR® waistcoat is exclusively for use on motorised 2 and 3-wheelers: scooters, motorbikes or mopeds.

Yes, for optimum use, you need to activate Bluetooth, geolocation and access authorisation for battery use.

To find out how to check the condition of your E-PROTECT AIR® airbag vest, please refer to the instructions for use.

Maintenance instructions are available in the E-PROTECT AIR® airbag vest user manual.

It is not necessary to check the condition of the gas generator. Gas generators are designed to be used only once. They must be replaced by customer service each time the E-PROTECT AIR® airbag is activated. If there is ever a problem or it is empty, the airbag will beep. The generator must be replaced every 10 years.

No, parts of the E-PROTECT AIR® airbag must be changed by the after-sales service.

After activation, the E-PROTECT AIR® airbag vest will deflate slowly over a period of 30 seconds to 2 minutes. It can therefore be removed quickly and easily.

After an activation, the E-PROTECT AIR® airbag vest must undergo a diagnosis at the after-sales service. This costs €129.99, including return postage only, a diagnosis and a change of batteries and cartridges. Any other changes will lead to additional costs after quotation and acceptance.

No, it is forbidden to use any cartridge other than those supplied and fitted to the Bering E-PROTECT AIR® airbag vest.

After a crash, the airbag must be diagnosed exclusively by the after-sales service. During diagnosis, the condition of the E-PROTECT AIR® airbag vest will be checked to see which parts need to be replaced and which repairs are necessary. Any diagnosis and/or repair by a third party will invalidate the operating warranty.

After each activation, it is necessary to follow the diagnostic procedure in order to check that the E-PROTECT AIR® airbag and the system are working correctly. After a maximum of 4 activations, the inflatable part inside the airbag should be changed. Reconditioning of the airbag vest following this change must be carried out by our services.

When the E-PROTECT AIR® airbag vest is connected to the application, it retrieves the user's GPS data. In the event of an accident, it only communicates this information if it is triggered and a request is made to send help.

The application can be downloaded free of charge from the stores. No additional cost is required.

There are currently no notifications on the mobile application.

The mobile application can be downloaded from IOS and Android.

The application must be switched on and the authorisation settings validated in order to benefit from all the services included in your package.
